Finał Wielkiej Orkiestry Świątecznej Pomocy (the Final of the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity) - The greatest charity event of the year takes place all over Poland on the first or second weekend of January.
Thanks to the charisma of the leader, Jurek Owsiak, within a dozen years since the first edition the Orchestra has become a nationwide phenomenon. The Final is organised in all major Polish cities, with numerous concerts, auctions and shows.
Everyone participating in the auction, i.e. giving money to fund collectors with special cans, is given a red heart sticker in return.

Mundus Cantat - international choir festival organised in spring or autumn

The Orkiestrada - a parade of orchestras of honour which takes place in the long weekend between May 1st and 3rd. Orchestras march along ul. Bohaterów Monte Cassino (the famous “Monciak”).

The Regatta for the Opening of the Sailing Season - also organised in the long May weekend on the water close to the pier.

The “Monciak” Day - parades, concerts, fair and street parties in ul. Bohaterów Monte Cassino organised annually in mid-June.

The Regatta for the Cup of the President of Sopot - organised in June on the water close to the pier.

International Steeple Race Competition - held in June at the Sopot obstacle course.

Sopot Sailing Grand Prix - regatta organised in three stages, with the first one taking place at the end of June and the last one - in the last week of July.

Top Trendy - a festival of pop music organised at the end of June in the Forest Opera, which gathers the stars of Polish music.

The Sopot Opera Festival - operas and ballets presented from June to September in the Forest Opera.

Sopot Grand Prix Swimming Race - swimming race around the pier organised in July or August.

Festiwal Jedynki - a Polish music festival organised by one of Polish TV stations since 2005 at the turn of July and August.

Agnieszka Osiecka Festival - a nationwide festival of interpretation of songs written by a famous Polish poet and songwriter Agnieszka Osiecka, organised annually in mid-August along with the Festival of Jewish Culture.

The International Horse Riding Competition - Three-Day Event – organised in August in the Sopot Hippodrome.

Sopot Festival - one of the 2 most important music festivals in Poland held in the first weekend of September in the Forest Opera. Apart from Polish performers, the event gathers artists from all around the world. The gala concert is always reserved for a world-famous artist.

Skok Jazz Festival - includes concerts of both Polish and world jazz stars organised in concert halls, clubs and cafes, always in mid-October.

The Sopot Feast - in the second weekend of October, which marks the anniversary of the granting of Sopot with its city rights, a concert is held and the President's Awards (called the “Sopot Muse”) granted for special achievements in science, culture and art.

The End-of-Season Regatta - held in October on the water next to the pier.

The Poetry Festival - organised in the first half of December, the festival includes the final of Rainer Maria Rilke poetry contest, as well as concerts and meetings with writers.

The skating rink - you can put your skating skills to test from October to March in Plac Zdrojowy next to the entrance to the pier.
