Monte Cassino Promenade - also called the “Monciak”, is the main street of the city leading to the pier, full of pubs and galleries. There is also a cinema and the Chamber Scene of Wybrzeże Theatre. Walking the promenade in summer, one can admire street theatre shows and works of local painters. In June, the so-called “Monciak Day” is organised here.
The Pier - the longest wooden pier in Europe serves as a place for walks, fests and various other events. In addition, it is a port for tourist passenger boats.

The Crooked House - one of the buildings in Monte Cassino promenade, famous for its unique shapes which bring to mind the works of Gaudi and Hundertwasser. Thus, finding a single straight line calls for an eagle eye. The building houses pubs, restaurants and shops.
Grand Hotel and the Casino - situated by the beach close to the Pier, it was built in 1927 as the most luxurious building of this type in the Free City of Gdańsk. Many luminaries of art, culture and politics used to stay in the hotel, including Fidel Castro, Josephine Baker, Marlene Dietrich, Charles de Gaulle and Omar Sharif.
