Finał Wielkiej Orkiestry Świątecznej Pomocy (the Final of the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity) - The greatest charity event of the year takes place all over Poland on the first or second weekend of January. Thanks to the charisma of the leader, Jurek Owsiak, within a dozen years since the first edition the Orchestra has become a nationwide phenomenon. The Final is organised in all major Polish cities, with numerous concerts, auctions and shows.
Everyone participating in the auction, i.e. giving money to fund collectors with special cans, is given a red heart sticker in return.

PAKA - an overview of cabarets organised in April. Every year, young cabaret formations are discovered here.

Night of Museums - always in May, in the European cities, one night from Friday to Saturday is intended for visiting museums for free. Cracow with its stores also takes part in this undertaking. Among others, you may visit: the Krakow’s Historical Museum, the Technical Museum of Cracow, the National Army Museum, the Jagiellonian University Museum, the Polish Aviation Museum, and the National Museum.

Cracovia Maraton - a marathon run, whose route passes by the most important places and monuments of the city. A route marked out for the particular year and all the necessary information are available on the following website: www.cracoviamaraton.pl

Cracow Film Festival - an event organised every year at the end of May and the beginning of June. Short films of Polish and foreign production are presented during the festival.

The Great Dragons’ Parade - always at the beginning of June, a colourful parade of a several dozen of dragon figures go through the streets of Cracow. Every year, the figures are prepared by children and thanks to children, the dragons move through the streets of the city. Figures take part in the contest for the most beautiful dragon.

Salt Holiday (Święto Soli) - organised at the beginning of June in Wieliczka, serves promotion of the local history. It combines festivities with exhibitions, workshops, and concerts.

The Jewish Culture Festival - is one of the biggest and the most important events of this type in the world. It takes place in the last days of June when people interested in listening to Jewish Music, seeing performances and exhibitions, taking part in workshops, and listening to the stories about Jewish culture flock to the Kazimierz district in Cracow.

Garlands (Wianki) - a June outdoor event referring to celebration of Midsummer Night’s Eve. The citizens of the city and tourists gather on the Vistula Boulevard to listen to the concerts, see outdoor performances, and fireworks display.

Summer Jazz Festival at the Cellar under Rams (the Cellar under Rams - Piwnica Pod Baranami) - during the whole July, in the most famous artistic basement in Cracow, a several dozen of jazz concerts are organised. Polish and foreign artists give their performances.

Sacrum Profanum - the purpose of the September festival is presentation of instrumental and vocal-instrumental music in geographical order. Concerts in the rolling mill hall of the former T.Sendzimir Steel Plant are especially spectacular.
