 The Pomeranian Dukes' Castle - for centuries the building used to be the seat of the Pomeranian Dukes of the Gryfits family. Nowadays, numerous cultural events and concerts take place in the courtyard. On the tower you can see a Foucault’s pendulum – the first dynamic and easy-to-see proof of the rotation of the Earth. Chrobry’s terraces - a riverside viewing deck nearly 500m long. The terraces include the buildings of Szczecin Maritime University, Współczesny Theatre and the National Museum. |

 Grunwaldzki Square - the most spectacular square in the city, imitating the Place d'Etoile in Paris with its eight streets spreading out of the centre, is a favourite meeting place for the city’s inhabitants. The Pionier cinema - in Wojska Polskiego Street there is a world phenomenon, awarded the title of the oldest continuously operating cinema in the world by Guinness World Records. Films have been shown here since 1909. |
Underground tourist routes - the city offers two underground tourist routes. The first one is a reconstruction of a 2nd-world-war bomb shelter, and the other is an atomic shelter from the Cold War era. |

 The Port Gate (a.k.a. the Berlin Gate) - a remnant from the former Prussian fortifications founded by King Frederick William I who bought the city from the Swedes in 1719 for 2 mln rix-dollars. The Royal Gate (a.k.a. the Prussian Homage Gate or the Nakło Gate) - built on the former location of the city’s defensive walls by the Prussians after taking over the city in 1725-28. |
Bismarck’s Tower - another building which evokes the German past of the city. The tower was erected between 1913 and 1921 to honour the Chancellor of the German Reich, Otto von Bismarck. Unfortunately, the object is closed for visitors. |

 Palace under the Globe - built between 1724 and 1725. In 1759, Princess Sophia Dorothea von Württemberg was born here, who later became Maria Fedorovna, the wife of Tsar Paul I. Today, the building houses the Medical High School. |

Międzyzdroje - a town located on Wolin Island, one of the most popular summer coastal resorts. Apart from the beach covered by fine white sand, there is also a walking pier, promenade, and the avenue of stars. The Wolinski National Park - located in the middle part of Wolin Island, close to Międzyzdroje. The main attractions of the park are a huge coastal cliff (mountains: Gosań and Kawcza) and a European bison reserve. Świnoujście - a town located at the mouth of the Świna River to the Baltic Sea, dispersed on many islands. Holiday resort, health-resort, and a big sea port at the same time. Unusually wide beaches are especially attractive here. The town has beautiful buildings in the coastal district. The student festival FAMA is organised here in the summer. |
