The network comprises 27 lines. Subway - subway is managed by ZTM Company. In the city, there is only one subway line running along the Vistula River, and linking Kabaty with Marymont. |
TICKETS: a basic one-time ticket, which admits to public transport vehicles, costs 2.40 PLN. A ride from Monday to Friday between 9:00 and 14:00 costs 2 PLN. A ride on a nightline costs 4.80 PLN. A city twenty-four hour ticket, valid within 24 hours from the time it was activated (stamped), costs 7.20 PLN. Warszawska Kolej Dojazdowa (Warsaw Local Trains) - WKD are trains linking the city centre with countries and towns located in the surrounding areas of Warsaw. From Warszawa Śródmieście WKD station, located at Warszawa Centralna station, you may go to Podkowa Leśna, Grodzisk Mazowiecki, Radomsk, and Milanówek Grudów. Fare for a ride depends on the transport zone and duration of the ride. A ride lasting up to 19 minutes will cost you 3.60 PLN, up to 38 minutes - 4.80 PLN or 6 PLN depending on the zone. |

Trains - national railway transport is served by PKP Company. There are a few railway stations in Warsaw, and the most important are Warszawa Centralna (Central Warsaw), Warszawa Zachodnia (Western Warsaw), and Warszawa Wschodnia (Eastern Warsaw). Buses - the most important long-distance bus station in Warsaw is situated in thevvicinity of Warszawa Zachodnia Railway Station. Both national and international buses depart from there.
