Mikołajki - sailing is the highlight of Mikołajki, being an excellent place for trips on water to near and more distant lakes. You can easily get to Giżycko, Ruciane-Nida or Ryn. Cruises on Masuria lakes are arranged by ‘Żegluga Mazurska’.

The Mazuria Natural Landscape Park - over a half of the 55 000-ha area is covered by forest. There are more than 60 lakes, including Śniardwy - the biggest lake in Poland. Across the park, along the Krutynia River, is one of the most charming canoeing routes in Europe.

The Park of Wild Animals in Kadzidłów - here you can see animals characteristic of the Pisz Forest, including deer, roe–deer, elks, wolves, beavers and cranes.

The reserve of Lake Łuknajno - an ornithological reserve listed by UNESCO. The biggest breeding ground for the mute swan in Poland.
