Finał Wielkiej Orkiestry Świątecznej Pomocy (the Final of the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity) - The greatest charity event of the year takes place all over Poland on the first or second weekend of January.
Thanks to the charisma of the leader, Jurek Owsiak, within a dozen years since the first edition the Orchestra has become a nationwide phenomenon. The Final is organised in all major Polish cities, with numerous concerts, auctions and shows.
Everyone participating in the auction, i.e. giving money to fund collectors with special cans, is given a red heart sticker in return.

Judaism Day - takes place in mid-January. The celebrations include lectures, talks and seminars, as well as film shows and theatre plays.

The Festival of Passion and Paschal Music - organised in March, with concerts held in churches in Poznań and all over Wielkopolska region.

The Spring Feast Festival - organised in the Zamek Culture Centre, the event includes dance shows and thematic plays related to the welcoming of spring. The festival takes place on 21st and 22nd of March.

The Chinese Culture Days - organised in the second half of April, the event includes film shows, contests, plays and Far-Eastern martial art shows organised all over the city. You can also learn many interesting things about Chinese writing and calligraphy.

Malta - an international theatre festival organised annually in June. The event lasts several days during which one may see plays presented by theatre groups from all over the world. For a few years now, dance and music have become major elements of the festival. The events are usually held in public places like the Castle, courtyards, abandoned factories or market halls.
