Finał Wielkiej Orkiestry Świątecznej Pomocy (the Final of the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity) - The greatest charity event of the year takes place all over Poland on the first or second weekend of January.
Thanks to the charisma of the leader, Jurek Owsiak, within a dozen years since the first edition the Orchestra has become a nationwide phenomenon. The Final is organised in all major Polish cities, with numerous concerts, auctions and shows.
Everyone participating in the auction, i.e. giving money to fund collectors with special cans, is given a red heart sticker in return.

Maraton Wrocław (Wrocław Marathon) - organised every year in the second half of April, a holiday not only for those taking part in the run but also for the viewers of their endeavours. The best place for observing the run is the city market square, where the beginning and ending of the run may be seen as well as it is possible to follow the runners on the large outdoors screens.

“Jazz nad Odrą” (Jazz at the Odra River) - the oldest music festival in Wrocław. First edition took part in 1964. Contest of young jazz groups, concerts of stars, happenings, theatrical performances, and exhibitions are organised within this April event.

“Arsenal nights” - every year at the end of June and the beginning of July, on the courtyard of Wrocław arsenal, the local Wratislavia Chamber Orchestra organises a chamber music festival. It is a tradition of the Festival to include every year one element of entertaining nature in the programme.

Wratislavia Cantans - first edition of the festival took place in 1966. Concerts, operatic and ballet performances, vernissages and recitals are presented within the festival. Events are divided into two sessions in June and in September.

Era New Horizons Film Festival - international film festival. Unconventional, independent, and artistic cinema dominates during the festival. It takes place every year in July.

Wrocław Guitar Festival - organised every year at the end of November and the beginning of December. The international guitar festival presents repertoire for a classical guitar, an electric guitar, and guitar orchestra. The festival gathers masters from all over the world.
