Mt. Szrenica - the highest mountain in this part of the Karkonosze. You can reach the top by chairlift. A picturesque view stretches over and beyond the mountain.
The Izerskie Mountains - the westernmost mountain range of the Sudetes. There is a network of tourist routes here, including the Main Route of the Sudetes (red). The routes leading to the tops of the Izerskie Mountains are outstanding with their magnificent viewpoints. One of the best viewpoints is the High Stone.
The Raven Rocks - a rocky group on the right bank of the Kamienna River. These are two huge granite donjons of up to 30m high and which form great viewpoints. There is a centre of extreme sports, where you can go in for climbing etc.
The Death Bend - the viewpoint on the Sudetes Route between Szklarska Poręba and Świeradów Zdrój. A sharp and dangerous bend where the road almost goes round in a semicircle at a height of 775 m above sea level. This bend received its name as a result of the numerous car accidents here.
Karpacz - a town situated less than 30 km from Szklarska Poręba and in itself a famous mountain resort. It is also an attractive centre for winter sports near the highest top of the Karkonosze - Śnieżka (1602 m). Worth visiting here: the Wang Lutheran wooden church and the Toys Museum.
